Planttonix Bokashi
Using a traditional family recipe, we carefully craft Planttonix Bokashi using locally sourced, organic bran. The result is an easy-to use product that breaks down plant matter, pet waste, marijuana waste and more, fermenting it into to a liquid fertilizer that adds powerful nutrients and minerals to your plants.
On Vancouver Island alone, each household produces about 1000 pounds of food waste annually. This “garbage” is driven in trucks to the dump, where it adds to greenhouse gas emissions and takes up valuable space in landfills. The disposal trucks also add to harmful emissions through the burning of fossil fuels. This happens day in and day out. So by using our locally-made Bokashi, you’re helping to eliminate greenhouse gases, sequester carbon and eliminate unnecessary food waste. The zero-odour process is easy to implement and low cost.
USAGE: We suggest that you coat your food waste by sprinkling it on your compost in layers. For each pound of compost, use 1/4 cup of Planttonix Bokashi. Always make sure you coat the matter well, if your layers are too thick they are not going to get properly broken down. The fermentation process takes around 14 days.
Once your fertilizer is ready, you can use it alongside any other products such as compost tea, etc. For more details, see the label on your Planttonix Bokashi.
